SoleStride Terms Of Use

Admittance & Participation
SoleStride reserves the right to deny admittance, suspend introductions, or terminate registration if the participant exhibits anti-social, inappropriate or disruptive behavior towards SoleStride members &/or group organizers/volunteers or attempts to use SoleStride's services for improper, immoral, illegal or exploitative purposes. SoleStride members will be contacted intermittently regarding their experiences with SoleStride. Any group members experiencing negative behavior from another group member during SoleStride mixers, are encouraged to anonymously contact SoleStride via phone or e mail. After such an occurrence the other member would be contacted. In the event of the aforementioned occurrences, a SoleStride refund will not be given.

Our Purpose
SoleStride's primary purpose is to organize enjoyable social, active & cultural mixers for our participants to make a diversity of connections in safe & comfortable environments. Unlike most singles groups, SoleStride does not match members up one-on-one to guarantee romantic connections. Instead, our members join SoleStride primarily for the intrinsic value of enjoying inspiring mixers with a small group rather than focusing on meeting "the right fit" first and foremost. In that case, our mixers will not be guaranteed to have an exact balance of men & women. However as all members joining SoleStride are expected to be single, the natural process of eventually meeting the "right fit" is possible whilst enjoying yourself at our mixers!

SoleStride's 3 Strike Policy
Those who do not show up for 3 events without contacting SoleStride 24 hours or more in advance of their scheduled event , will be kindly be asked to leave the group. There will not be a refund in fees or rescheduling of events in this 3 strike policy . This policy is not effective for emergencies such as fatal illnesses and family deaths.

Screening
In the event SoleStride's members potentially meet the "right fit", as SoleStride charges low fees, it does not have the resources to screen its members' personal information. In lieu of screening, SoleStride's low fees enable its members to participate consistently with SoleStride to get comfortably acquainted with a potential interest while interacting in safe group dynamics. SoleStride will provide a "life-line" card to assist in the contacting process once members decide to interact away from the group with another member. However after introductions & contact are facilitated by SoleStride amongst members, it is the responsibility of those two members to clarify each other's credentials and background to their own satisfaction. By registering with SoleStride, you are agreeing that SoleStride, without limitation, is not liable for any damages resulting from meeting with other members that are registered in our program.

Liability Waiver
SoleStride plans a variety of active mixers which include walks, jogs, roller-blading to name a few. Before participating in these mixers, participants will be asked to sign a liability waiver.

Registration Fees
Those trying SoleStride for the first time, receive a free trial pass. After that, SoleStride registration fees charged cover: website maintenance, community advertising, personal support from SoleStride, and the organization/research of social active and cultural mixers. Additional costs may be incurred by registrants beyond the organization of these mixers. Those potential costs could include refreshments and food at the social mixers. Listed fees on our website are subject to change.

Some group events may involve an admission fee to a Calgary venue and will be specified on the web site if this is the case. Arranged private group events are selected by their social appeal as well as reasonably priced entry fees. In planning a private group event, SoleStride would to the best of its ability, research a variety of companies in order to find reasonable group prices for its registrants.

Fees charged: $5 for one mixer, $8 for two mixers, $20 for 3 months (due to potentially cancelled or full mixers, SoleStride guarantees participants 5 mixers for this fee)

Cancellation Policy
SoleStride does not issue refunds in the event of canceling your mixer choice. Instead, you may reschedule your mixer time to another date. In order to reschedule, you must contact Solestride via e mail or phone 48 hours or more before your scheduled mixer time.

SoleStride will organize once per month, with a Calgary venue, a mixer which involves a group admission. As this event is with another contractor, SoleStride is not able to reschedule your event or cancel your ticket. It is up to participants to contact the Calgary venue to try to get a refund.

In the event SoleStride does not have enough numbers for a mixer due to weather, last minute cancellations or other unforeseen events, it will offer its participants two options. One being we would refund your money back to you. The other would be to offer you another mixer choice where numbers are confirmed. We'd notify you 24 hours or more in advance in this circumstance.

Weather Conditions
As every Calgarian is aware of, the Calgary weather can be unpredictable in every season. Most of SoleStride's active mixers are held outside. SoleStride will go ahead with its jog and walk mixers in rain, sleet, snow, hail or shine! Only with extreme weather warnings would SoleStride cancel these mixers. Also, SoleStride will cancel when the temperature reaches below 20 degrees Celsius or more. For activities which can be hazardous during wet conditions, SoleStride will cancel the active component of its mixer, but still go ahead with its social restaurant component. SoleStride will soon organize roller-blading mixers where this would be the case!

Payment Policy
SoleStride accepts payments through all major credit cards & cheques. For last minute registrations - specifically 5 days or less before a mixer - SoleStride will receive payments via cash or cheque at the mixer.

PayPal Payment Security
SoleStride receives credit card payments through a reputable global payment company called PayPal. SoleStride does not receive or store any credit card information on its own site. Our site is designed so members do not need to set up a PayPal account in order to purchase our mixers. PayPal is user friendly and will guide you comfortably through the payment process. For credit card protection, PayPal uses an encryption technology to hide your credit card information while in transit to other servers over the internet. After you submit your SoleStride Registration form, you will be directed to a payment page. You click your payment then follow PayPal's friendly payment process. After making your purchase, PayPal will send a confirmation of payment to you via your specified contact information. You will also receive an e-mail from SoleStride confirming your mixer registration. For cheques, we will send you an e-mail once we receive it.

Privacy
Your personal privacy is of utmost importance to SoleStride. Your personal information will only be used for SoleStride registration and payment purposes. Once receiving your information, SoleStride may contact you regarding mixers and new events at our group. SoleStride's payment company PayPal secures your information to verify credit card information and to send your confirmation number for payment via e mail. At no time would your information be released to the public. Your personal details will be kept confidential in a password protected database unless you express consent to release your information to your mutual match in our SoleStride group. Please click on SoleStride Life-Line Card to learn how this works. Even when there is a mutual match and consent between two parties, SoleStride would only release both the first names and e mail addresses of those mutually consenting participants. If you are not comfortable with your last name being released, you need to have an e mail address that does not include your last name. As we release your e mail address, SoleStride is not responsible for the contents of your e mail address and what it releases to your mutual match at SoleStride.

Once you register at SoleStride, you may receive mixer information and updates from SoleStride. Please notify SoleStride if you wish to opt out of receiving our e mails at any date.
